The consequences of tiny particles of turbidity

Pathogenic germs and bacteria in pool and spa water, defective technology due to unwanted deposits: these are just some of the consequences that can caused by tiny particles of turbidity, invisible to the naked eye. Especially in the lowest measuring range up to 10 NTU, it has been difficult so far to track down the tiny troublemakers. The devices were often complicated, the control mechanisms complex, there were technical obstacles, time and effort as well as water consumption enormous. This is exactly what the TB 211 IR developers focused on and found targeted solutions for. 

An infrared turbidity meter for fast, precise on-site testing

The compact Lovibond^® infrared turbidity meter TB211 IR with USB interface is designed to allow fast, precise on-site testing. The unit measures the scattered light at an angle of 90°, as stipulated in EN ISO 7027. 

With a measuring range as low as 0,01 TE/F = NTU = FNU the instrument is suitable for determining the water quality in public pools and spas. In many countries Turbidity measurement is part of the hygiene parameters to be determined regularly to check the efficiency of the flocculation and the filter system. 

The standards required for calibration of the unit are also supplied. A second mode allows alternative adjustment with user-defined turbidity standards. 

This infrared turbidity meter is easy handling and allows approx. 600 tests without battery charge. 

The delivery includes: instrument in caring case, with 4 turbidity standards (< 0,1, 20, 200 and 800 NTU), 9 V battery, 2 vials (Ø 24 mm) with lids, USB cable, guarantee sheet, certificate of compliance, instruction manual.
