At the aquanale 2025 trade fair, Binder presented two new products: the LittleStarlet counter-current swimming turbine and a new solar-powered drive system for pool covers.

LittleStarlet: ultra-simple anti-current swimming turbine to set up
BINDER turbine-powered counter-current systems for the perfect swimming experience at home. The new, compact LittleStarlet turbine swimming system was developed for ambitious amateur swimmers who value convenience. The main advantage of LittleStarlet is that it can be retrofitted flexibly: thanks to its small dimensions, the device can even be installed on a step in the pool. As LittleStarlet only has a diameter of around 25 centimetres, it can also be easily attached to the nozzle or technology shaft of existing systems. This means that a weaker pump system can be replaced without having to drill through the pool wall.
LittleStarlet differs from the EasyStar retrofit system thanks to its even more compact dimensions (Ø 25 cm x 40 cm), which allows the system to be installed as well in very confined spaces. To achieve this, the motor was further downsized and its performance optimised. Second, BINDER has developed a completely new housing for LittleStarlet, with the LED ring integrated into the outlet opening. The LittleStarlet impeller has also been completely redesigned: it generates a powerful, even flow and still works in an energy-saving manner.
MTX: Climate-neutral drive for pool covers
Another highlight at the trade fair stand was the new solar-powered drive system for above-ground pool covers. At the heart of the drive is a tried-and-tested electric motor with a four-stage planetary gearbox. It is supplemented by a control board that is integrated directly into the motor housing. This design significantly reduces the amount of wiring for the pool builder.
The new drive system works with a small solar module (approx. A4 size) and a rechargeable battery. Suitable batteries and solar modules can be purchased from BINDER in appropriate quantities. The solar control board of the electric motor comes from BINDER's new modular motor control system, on the basis of which other modern control systems will be developed in the future.
