Early this year, T&A Group, in collaboration with a spin-off of Ghent University, developed a new tool designed to reduce energy and water consumption. After entering certain parameters, the Energy Simulator provides information concerning possible water and energy savings.
Predict pool water and electricity consumption
All the group's clients can thus access the calculation of a pool's energy consumption depending on the cover selected from the T&A range and according to the technical specifications of the pool, local weather data, the type of heating used, the presence or absence of solar panels, etc. The modification of certain parameters also gives them an overview of the impact on the pool's energy consumption.

A feature concerning possible water savings is also built into the Energy Simulator. Indeed, this increasingly rare and precious resource is an essential parameter to measure for the pool's annual operation. Studies have already shown that on average 60 to 70% of pool water loss is due to evaporation. This phenomenon is closely related to the pool surface area, the average water temperature, the frequency of backwashing, as well as the use of a cover.

By using the Energy Simulator and its dedicated features, it is clear that this pool protection solution has a major impact on water consumption, demonstrating its usefulness in the current context.
