ASTRALPOOL offers an advanced filtration solution for the swimming pool with a new filter media that improves water quality while saving time, water and energy.

OC-1 is composed of extruded plastic made of high-density polyethylene to which calcium carbonate is added to obtain a density greater than 1.12 g/cm3. Thanks to the properties of the material itself and its geometrical shape, it succeeds in trapping more dirt than any other media.

For example, its capacity to retain dirt is 20 times higher than that of sand.

The OC-1 has passed the tests that meet the EN16713-1 standard of the IFTS (Institute of Filtration and Separating Techniques) with flying colours.

By reducing the washing frequency of the filter medium, and therefore of backwashing, water and chemical consumption is reduced.

It also reduces energy costs because it allows the user to lessen the speed of the pump or use a pump with lower power.

With the OC-1, the water flow remains constant, even when the filter media is dirty. The pump can therefore operate at lower speeds, with the subsequent savings in energy.

This filter media is much lighter than the filter media commonly used, making transport and handling easier.

OC-1 is suitable for all types of spas and swimming pools, whether private, public or used for hydrotherapy.
