At the heart of the Future Life Pavilion in Osaka, the 2025 World Expo is already offering a compelling glimpse into tomorrow's lifestyle. As predicted by Masayoshi Son -- "By 2050, we'll live alongside 10 billion robots" -- technology is becoming both functional and emotional. This vision came to life in the pavilion's special exhibition, where 50 advanced robots curated by Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro blurred the line between tools and companions.

Smarter, sleeker, and more sustainable Outdoor Living

Among the standout exhibitors is the outdoor technology pioneer Fairland Group, which captivated millions with its cutting-edge iGarden Robotics and smart garden ecosystem. The showcase attracted a global audience both in person and online, as part of the Special Limited-Time Exhibition in the Future Life Village.

Fairland's iGarden exhibition wowed visitors with futuristic lawn and pool robots that combine sleek, supercar-inspired design and record-breaking performance. Their latest robotic lawnmower -- a Guinness World Record holder for longest continuous operation -- runs for 30 hours per charge. The new pool-cleaning robot delivers up to 40 hours of autonomous cleaning, the equivalent of an entire month of maintenance.

The iGarden VR experience also drew crowds. Immersed in a digital vision of a four-season smart garden, visitors were welcomed by humanoid guides in an ultra-efficient environment where self-driving robots handled mowing and cleaning duties. As one blogger put it, it was "a glimpse into an outdoor utopia."

The iGarden concept also includes a fully automated, energy-efficient pool ecosystem. Developed in collaboration with Fairland's tech brands -- Fairland, Aquark, and Aquagem -- this system integrates:

  • Inverter heat pumps
  • A self-regulating inverter water treatment system
  • Inverter filtration pumps, all linked to a solar-powered energy storage unit

The system is designed for carbon-neutral operation, making it a highlight for visitors from pool-oriented markets like France and the United States. As one German attendee remarked: "It's the perfect blend of convenience and sustainability -- this is the future of outdoor leisure."

iGarden Robotics

World Expos have always marked the turning points of innovation. From the mechanised marvels of 1851 to the intelligent companions of 2025, the shift is clear: technology no longer demands attention -- it seamlessly transforms everyday life.

iGarden Robotics received strong praise for its innovation and aesthetics reminiscent of high-performance cars, earning accolades from design and tech media alike. With such advances, the next generation of outdoor automation might already be charging quietly in a lab nearby.

As the VR experience fades out, one message remains: The future of outdoor living isn't decades away -- it's already taking shape at Expo 2025.

Don't miss the next spotlights of iGarden Robotics at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans this June and the upcoming Pisicina & Wellness Barcelona 2025 in the November!
