Organised by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Spanish swimming pool industry association ASOFAP, Piscina & Wellness Barcelona will open its doors soon, from 27 to 30 November at the Gran Via venue.
An even more international edition that responds to the challenges facing the sector
Piscina & Wellness Barcelona, European benchmark in the industry, has almost doubled the figures of its previous edition, with 300 confirmed exhibiting companies and 40,000 m2 of gross floor space, as well as a strong increase in international participation, which now accounts for 68% of the total offer with firms from up to 26 countries.
Energy savings and the reduction of water consumption, the impact of digitalisation and connectivity on pool maintenance, the importance of architectural design and the creation of healthy, leisure and wellness experiences are all trendsetting are the major trends that will be the focus of news and events during the 2023 edition.
Piscina & Wellness Barcelona
Visitors to Piscina & Wellness Barcelona will find a number of highlights and dedicated areas:
The Innovation Zone: the most innovative and disruptive items can be seen in the Innovation Zone, a space that will be set up by the show and in which exhibitors will be able to highlight their best solutions.
The Wellness Expérience : a fully operational wellness centre to showcase the latest equipment, treatments and activities during the event. The space will feature a sauna, spa, hydro massage, fitness area and cabins with demonstrations of natural therapies, massages and virtual reality experiences, as well as a central pool converted into a thalasso because it will be filled with vitalised seawater.
It is also important to note that the aquatic facilities of the Wellness Experience, as well as all those on display at the fair, will be filled with seawater that has been treated and vitalised by the company MásQue Iniciativas, and at the close of the trade show this water will be collected again to be reused in other pools. This is a decision taken "out of respect for the environment and due to this year's weather conditions", explains the show's director, Ángel Celorrio.
The Wellness Expérience
The Outdoor Living Expérience, a showroom dedicated exclusively to outdoor products. In response to the growing demand for sustainable swimming pools that are integrated into their surroundings, Piscina & Wellness Barcelona is expanding the 'Outdoor Living Experience' space to include all the proposals from leading companies specializing in interior design, architecture and landscaping. It will offer visitors an even broader and more varied experience, with the participation of 30 exhibitors.
The Awards Ceremony : the show will hold this traditional gala dinner bringing together the main actors in the industry and will be the setting for the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona Awards for the most sustainable and innovative products at the show, the Wellness Experience Awards for the best Iberian and European spas, spas and thalassotherapy centres, and the International Architecture Competition for students.
