From 22nd to 25th October 2013, the next aquanale, the International Trade Fair for Sauna, Pool, Ambience, will take place in Cologne in association with FSB, the International Trade Fair for Amenity Areas, Sports and Pool Facilities. Around 1,000 exhibitors from the sport, games, swimming pool, sauna and wellness sector and more than 25,000 trade visitors (including those attending FSB) are expected in Cologne. The exhibitors will present their latest products and innovations, and all the participants are looking forward to doing good business. “The conditions have been created for another successful aquanale, organized in association with FSB.
Koelnmesse has significantly expanded the concept and the content of the trade fair for the next successful wave of exhibitors and trade visitors, in cooperation with the trade fair's Advisory Board and the participating associations: the Federal Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw), the Association for Sauna Construction, Infrared and Steam Bath Technology (BSB) and, for the FSB swimming pool area, the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS). The next aquanale and FSB will be held in parallel from 22nd to 25th October 2013 in Cologne. The swimming pool areas of both trade fairs will be presented in the adjoining Halls 10.1 and 10.2.

These swimming pool and wellness areas will be clearly divided into theme worlds. By means of this new concept, Koelnmesse will create an integrated and clearly structured display of the public and private swimming pool and sauna segments.
Thanks to a straightforward layout and the improved use of pictograms, visitors will find it easy to orient themselves in the new thematic arrangement of the swimming pools, saunas, spas and wellness areas. The area for public pool construction featuring FSB exhibitors in Hall 10.1 adjoins the theme world “Swimming Pool and Water Technology”, which forms the connecting element between public pools and the private swimming pool area of aquanale.
Also located in this hall is the Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum, the umbrella brand for the swimming pool and wellness areas. An additional highlight in this hall will be the special show presented by the European Waterpark Association for the leisure pool segment on the theme of “Swimming Pool Worlds”.

The supporting programme
The exhibitors’ presentations will be complemented by a supporting programme of diverse events and trade-related themes integrated into the new hall concept. The 5th Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum will once again focus on themes that are of immediate interest to the sector. Some of the planned discussions will focus on the changes to DIN 19643, the German regulatory standards for pool water treatment in public pools; discussions are also planned on the topic of Web 2.0 for public pool operators.
In addition, there will be a set of themes dedicated to issues that are relevant to hotel swimming pool operators. Another focus will concern the special theme “Natural pools and swimming ponds”.
The conceptual sponsors of the 5th Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum are the Federal Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS). Cooperative partners this year are the European Waterpark Association (EWA), the Federal Association of German Swimming Instructors (BDS) and the IAB.
For the first time, an international European Pool Award will be presented by the European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations (EUSA). The award ceremony will take place at aquanale in Cologne on 24th October. The European Pool Award will go to winners in three categories: private outdoor swimming pools, private indoor swimming pools and private whirlpool facilities.
The bsw Marketing Award for swimming pool construction companies in Germany will also celebrate its premiere this year, and will likewise be awarded at aquanale.
The social highlight of the supporting programme, aquanight, will take place in the evening on Thursday, 24th October 2013, in the well-known in spot “Halle Tor 2”.
