UK manufacturer Dunster House Ltd has announced that it is targeting the outdoor spa and leisure market with the launch of a new outdoor sauna.

The company says its timber built ‘Meleg Sauna’ is suitable for installation in the garden, enabling users to enjoy the sauna experience outside.

The new cabin has two rooms: the sauna room, and the changing area to provide privacy – separated by a bronze-tinted 10mm heat-resistant glass door. An electric heater produces a dry sauna environment, while adding water to the hot stones on top of the heater creates a steam sauna.

The cabin comes with hardwood benches in aspen, selected for its low heat transfer, while a wooden pail and wooden ladle are also supplied for adding water onto the stones. Pressure treatment to the 70mm floor bearers gives protection from fungial infection and insect infestation.

The company has factories, distribution and manufacturing sites in the UK, Estonia, Hungary and Poland, and has a growing export division. It has recently exhibited at the Spoga Gafa Exhibition in September and at the Aquanale exhibition, Cologne, in October.

Dunster House says it has trade opportunities available, and is currently searching to develop partnerships in order to bring its traditional designs and extensive range of products to a wider market.

Company director Chris Murphy comments: “We believe that with the right distribution network, we could provide many unique timber built products for the outdoor lifestyle, garden and leisure sectors.”
