Henri Hamelin, a pool professional (DETAM Entreprise) based in the Dordogne region of France, has developed and patented a new process designed to support chemical water treatment.

No more clogged liquid chlorine injectors

All professionals specialising in swimming pool water treatment are familiar with the problems caused by deposits and crystallisation inside pipes and at the injector outlet: tubing breaking under pressure, chlorine leaks and associated risks.

To overcome these issues, the patented CleanInject solution focuses on simplicity and mechanical efficiency. The system reverses the flow of products (chlorine/acid) downstream of the dosing pumps, enabling continuous mechanical purging of the circuit. By alternating the injection of chlorine and acid, the injectors allow the acid to remove crystals formed during the passage of liquid chlorine.

This process has been chemically validated by the approved laboratory EXPERTOX.

Key advantages

  • Constant, accurate and stable flow rate of chlorine and acid
  • Secure injection, with no risk of chemical leakage
  • No need to stop the system for cleaning or dismantling
  • No corrosion, no replacement of parts (injectors), reduced maintenance
  • Fewer chemical hazards, time savings on site and enhanced technician safety

The process is easy to install, requires no specific tools and does not involve any modification to the existing installation (adapted fittings supplied).

For each CleanInject installation, integration support is provided, including assistance with settings, technical support and documentation.

The process is compatible with treatment systems with or without an analysis chamber, using Redox or amperometric probes, and electromagnetic or peristaltic dosing pumps. Installation and operating videos for CleanInject are available

Installation requirements

Certain installation principles must be observed:

  • The valve must be positioned between the dosing pumps and the injectors
  • The valve must be connected using tubing adapted to the valve diameter (visual markers on the valve)
  • Tubing and fittings must be made of PVDF
