Cristalis, the company that markets Flovil, is leaving the Siebec group. Its new owner is Alina Beiu. Fifteen years at Schneider, strategy training at HEC, and an entrepreneurial ambition that had been growing for some time. We met her.
What Alina Beiu was looking for in a business
Alina Beiu did not arrive here by chance. She had been considering entrepreneurship for years. Around two years ago, she even put her criteria down on paper: take over an existing, successful company, with one clear objective: to take it further. All without excessive technical complexity or an overly cumbersome structure.
Her background gave her solid foundations. She holds a Master's degree in economic engineering and a degree in accounting and finance, followed by fifteen years at Schneider working across project management, financing and marketing. More recently, she added strategy training at HEC to her experience. She has very fond memories of Schneider and of her "highly rewarding" work in energy management. But she admits that she wanted greater freedom. "In large organisations, you do interesting things, but there can sometimes be a degree of inertia that you simply do not have in smaller businesses."
Why Siebec is handing over the business
Alina Beiu was already familiar with the Siebec group, a French SME focused on industry, with 250 employees and a turnover of EUR50 million. In March 2026, the group acquired Polymem, a Toulouse-based specialist in filtration membranes for water and industrial fluids. As part of this refocus on industrial water treatment, retaining Cristalis no longer made much strategic sense. This was also why Weltico had been sold several years earlier to ACIS, part of the ACWA group.
The historic business was performing well, but it was no longer strategic. When Alina learned that it was for sale, it immediately clicked: the company ticked every box.
Cristalis at a glance
Cristalis is a close-knit company with a strong focus on service quality and close relationships with its customers. Operating in France and more than 15 countries, the FLOVIL brand relies on an agile, responsive organisation to support its partners, distributors and pool professionals.
From an organisational standpoint, Cristalis is leaving Siebec's premises and moving to Voiron, around twenty kilometres away, at the foot of the Chartreuse mountains. The new site will include 300 m² of storage space and offices. Production will continue to be handled by a French partner. On that point, Alina Beiu is adamant: there are no plans to change anything.
The product works, customers value it, but its potential has not yet been fully exploited.

Objective: double the business within five years
Her strategy begins with a simple observation: Flovil works. She reads comments on social media and customer reviews every day. "The product works, customers value it, but its potential has not yet been fully exploited."
Her ambition is to double the business within five years. Priority will be given to long-standing customers and partners, where she believes there is still significant potential for development. New avenues will then follow, particularly in export markets, where the product remains less well known than in France. So there will be no revolution. "To do even more, and even better, while maintaining continuity."
To do even more, and even better, while maintaining continuity.
David Hamouni remains involved
Good news for partners: David Hamouni, who managed Cristalis within Siebec, will support Alina Beiu throughout the transition. He will also continue working within the Siebec group, while remaining closely involved in the pool industry.
