From 11 to 14 August 2026, ExpoLazer & Outdoor Living brought together pool, spa, wellness and outdoor living professionals in São Paulo. For its 25th edition, the exhibition showcased a dynamic Brazilian market driven by innovation, connectivity, energy efficiency and an increasingly comprehensive approach to leisure spaces. The presence of several European companies also reflects the South American market's growing appeal to international industry players.

An innovative Brazilian market opening up new opportunities for European companies

In São Paulo, ExpoLazer is more than a succession of stands and product launches. The exhibition also provides valuable insight into how the market is evolving. Equipment automation, smart homes, intelligent water treatment, new heating solutions, increasingly distinctive finishes, recycled materials, accessibility and safety were among the key trends at this year's event.

The exhibition also confirmed the growing convergence between the pool and outdoor living sectors, with solutions now extending well beyond the pool itself to include terraces, pergolas, furniture, wellness areas and leisure experiences. See live images from the exhibition.

Two European perspectives on the South American market

Among the key takeaways from this edition, the presence of European companies deserves particular attention.

Abrisud: "We feel a little like pioneers"

For Abrisud, 2026 marked its first participation in ExpoLazer. Giuseppe Ianno, International Business Developer, described a particularly encouraging start to the exhibition, with large numbers of visitors to the stand and meetings already scheduled with Brazilian prospects. Interest also extended beyond Brazil, with professionals attending from Chile and Peru. He was joined by Jorge Veigas, Sales Manager for Portugal.

Exhibiting on a shared stand with Coverseal, Abrisud came to explore the market first-hand and seek new distribution opportunities.

This first experience led Giuseppe Ianno to sum up the European presence in São Paulo as follows: "We feel a little like pioneers: there are no Europeans here yet. We are the first, and we are very proud of that."

Beyond the statement itself, his comments illustrate the growing appeal of the South American market to European companies seeking new areas for development.

CF Group: a long-term development strategy

CF Group's presence reflects a different yet complementary approach.

Georges Le Roy, Sales, Marketing & Export Director, and Eduardo Tanello, Director of CF Group Portugal, were in São Paulo to meet distributors, industry professionals and potential partners.

The group's ambition is clear: to strengthen its presence in a market considered to offer significant potential, develop new partnerships and support its customers' growth.

On its stand, CF Group showcased its DEL automatic pool cover solutions - SERIE PURE, TIXIT, ROLLEASY 2, 69 mm and 84 mm PVC slats, as well as solar and opaque polycarbonate slats - together with its CF Coverkit safety covers and delifol reinforced membrane.

However, the group's message extended beyond its product offering. CF Group described its presence in São Paulo as an opportunity to "build the next chapter" of its development in South America.

Two different approaches, therefore, but one shared observation: the South American market is attracting increasingly tangible interest from European pool industry companies.

Automation and smart homes

Connectivity was one of the most prominent trends at ExpoLazer 2026.

Authome presented a range of pool automation solutions, including smart controllers for solar and electric heating, LED lighting automation and bespoke electrical control panels. Its solutions enable users to manage their pool from an app, with Wi-Fi connectivity and Alexa compatibility.

Brustec followed a similar approach with a portfolio of equipment for lighting, automation, heating, water treatment, cleaning and finishing. The brand's technologies are integrated into the global Smart Life system by Tuya and connect to the Alexa and Google Home virtual assistants.

Water treatment: towards smarter management

Smart technology is also transforming water treatment equipment.

iPoolCare presented its iPC Core, described as the heart of a technological ecosystem capable of transforming chemical and physical water data into automated decisions and real-time information.

The aim is to move away from an approach based primarily on occasional, reactive measurements towards continuous monitoring capable of anticipating imbalances.

The company also highlighted the environmental results attributed to its technology: 18 million litres of water saved and 9.3 tonnes of CO? emissions avoided, particularly through optimised backwashing and evaporation control.

GENCO, meanwhile, presented a comprehensive range of water treatment solutions covering analysis, chlorination, pH and alkalinity adjustment, clarification, algae prevention and removal, oxidation and cleaning.

This variety of solutions confirms the importance placed on water quality and optimised pool maintenance.

Heating: energy efficiency and connectivity

Heating solutions also featured prominently among the innovations presented.

Heliodin highlighted its approach combining solar heating, inverter technology and connectivity.

Rheem do Brasil presented its Crosswind Full Inverter Rheem heat pump, equipped with EVI technology. According to the company, this technology improves compressor efficiency and performance, including at low temperatures. The range also features integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and uses R32 refrigerant.

At Panozon, the group presented technology combining intelligent automation with advanced water treatment. Girassol Solar, a brand belonging to the same group, also exhibited a new heat exchanger featuring Full Inverter technology, capable of automatically adjusting its output according to heating requirements.

Energy efficiency, intelligent control and ease of use therefore appear to be increasingly closely linked.

Pool finishes focus on design

Among the most visually striking new products at this year's exhibition, Migale's solutions illustrate how pool finishes are evolving into a genuine aesthetic component of each project.

The company presented two launches simultaneously.

The SKINK range features a pearlescent effect and metallic reflections, including the Skink Gold Green and Skink Silver Blue designs. The light effects vary according to the angle at which the light strikes the surface.

The Marmoratus range is a 1.5 mm reinforced membrane inspired by the appearance of natural marble and available in several colours.

A clear trend is emerging: pool finishes are no longer considered solely in terms of protection and performance; they are also becoming a major element of pool design.

Fibratec also presented developments within its fibreglass pool range, including an extension of the Inspire Pool collection and a new modular category designed to offer greater freedom in project design.

Making its debut as an exhibitor, Formas D'Água Piscinas showcased its reinforced membranes and the variety of designs and textures available.

Outdoor living: integrating the pool into the wider outdoor space

The term "Outdoor Living" takes on its full meaning in the solutions presented by several exhibitors.

In Brasil Madeira Plástica Ambiental transformed its own stand into a demonstration of its material's possibilities: decking, a pergola, walls, sunshades, furniture and display elements were all incorporated into a single installation.

The recycled plastic lumber presented by the company contains 94% recycled plastic. It is designed to withstand water, moisture and pest damage without requiring painting, sanding or varnishing.

This approach illustrates the gradual convergence of pools, outdoor landscaping, architecture and leisure.

Utildecor also presented solutions for the design and technical integration of pool areas, including plant room covers, a honeycomb cover with a drawer system, thermal cover rollers and various furniture and lighting solutions.

The pool is therefore increasingly becoming one element within a comprehensive outdoor project.

More sustainable materials

The search for more sustainable solutions was also apparent in several new products.

Montreal presented a new range of liquid products packaged in PET and HDPE containers, described as 100% recyclable and using 42% less plastic. The new range comprises seven products, alongside additions including a calcium hardness increaser and a five-in-one oxidiser.

At In Brasil, the use of a material containing 94% recycled plastic provides another illustration of this trend.

For iPoolCare, reducing water consumption and carbon footprint is directly linked to optimising water treatment.

These different initiatives show that performance, resource efficiency and technological innovation are increasingly being presented as inseparable considerations.

Accessibility and safety gain greater visibility

ExpoLazer 2026 also featured solutions addressing social and safety issues.

Tecnipool presented its aquatic accessibility solutions for people with reduced mobility, older people and people with disabilities.

The equipment is intended for clubs, hotels, residential developments, waterparks, gyms, rehabilitation centres and residential facilities.

Safety solutions were also represented by Protectpool, with removable fencing designed to protect children and pets, self-closing safety gates with magnetic locking systems, and various solutions for residential projects and public-access facilities.

Accessibility and accident prevention are therefore becoming an integral part of developments within the pool and leisure equipment market.

Saunas, aquatic leisure and new experiences

ExpoLazer also extends beyond the traditional pool sector.

Ecosauna presented its Mini, Recycle and Ecovidro models, featuring a patented steam generation system designed around aesthetics, energy efficiency and ease of installation.

Wibit showcased its modular inflatable waterpark solutions for clubs, resorts, hotels, waterparks and sports centres.

Thanks to their modular design, these installations can be used temporarily or permanently and reconfigured according to requirements.

The pool sector is therefore gradually evolving towards a broader leisure and wellness experience in which aquatic equipment, design, sport and entertainment all have a role to play.

São Paulo: a gateway to South America?

This is probably one of the most significant takeaways from the 25th edition.

Brazilian companies are presenting solutions that reflect major international trends: connectivity, automation, energy efficiency, intelligent water treatment, design, sustainability and user experience.

At the same time, European companies such as Abrisud, Coverseal and CF Group are now coming to São Paulo with clear objectives focused on business development, finding partners and opening up new markets.

Abrisud's description of itself as a "pioneer" and CF Group's ambition to build the next chapter of its development in South America illustrate two different approaches to the same movement.

The South American market is now attracting increasingly tangible interest from international pool industry players.

ExpoLazer 2026 was therefore far more than a Brazilian pool industry event. In São Paulo, the Latin American market demonstrated its dynamism, capacity for innovation and growing openness to international trade.

For European companies, the question may no longer be simply whether to attend the São Paulo exhibition, but how to establish a lasting presence in the market.
