BEHQ, a Catalan company specialising in technical solutions for swimming pool water treatment, is continuing its international growth strategy with the acquisition of the Italian company Chemartis. The transaction was finalised by the SEBIC group (Bonet i Clemente), parent company of the Catalan family group to which BEHQ belongs, and involves the acquisition of 100% of the Italian company.
A strategic integration for the Italian market
The agreement, concluded between the Bonet family and the Giannola family, consolidates a business relationship of more than thirteen years between the two companies. Chemartis has been the exclusive distributor in Italy for several of the group's brands, including PISCIMAR and AQUANET, for many years.
The integration of Chemartis enables BEHQ to strengthen its direct presence in Italy, one of the priority markets in its European development strategy. The Italian company contributes more than EUR6 million in turnover, while BEHQ is set to exceed EUR30 million.
The integration of Chemartis strengthens our direct presence in Italy and marks a new step in BEHQ's international growth strategy, which we continue to drive with a long-term vision and a clear commitment to consolidation in Europe.
This transaction is not a one-off move, but the natural evolution of a long-established collaboration. For more than a decade, Chemartis has been BEHQ's reference partner in Italy, contributing to the introduction and development of the group's brands in the country.
BEHQ consolidates its international structure
With this integration, BEHQ aims to reinforce operational coordination and bring greater cohesion to its international structure. The transaction forms part of a sustainable expansion plan, based on strengthening local presence in key markets and progressively consolidating its European structures.
SEBIC also highlighted the role played by the Giannola family in the development of Chemartis over the years, as well as its contribution to the growth and positioning of the group's brands in Italy.
With the acquisition of Chemartis, BEHQ continues its consolidation as an industrial group with an international presence, supported by specialist brands and an increasingly integrated structure in its main European markets.
