The Pool Industry Promotions (PIP) Committee is delighted to announce the appointment of Arun Sarna as its new Chair. Arun brings a wealth of experience and industry insight to the role, having been an active member of the PIP Committee since 2017.
A new PIP Committee Chair focused on trade engagement and innovation
Arun is the owner of Hot Tub Suppliers, a respected business in the hot tub sector and a proud member of BISHTA (British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association) since 2015. His longstanding commitment to promoting excellence and innovation in the industry makes him an ideal leader for PIP.
Arun takes over the position of Chair from Mark Ramsden, Commercial Director of Complete Pool Controls (CPC). The PIP Committee would like to extend its sincere thanks to Mark for his dedicated service as PIP Chair since March 2024. Mark has been a valued member of the PIP Committee since 2007 and has played a key role in advancing PIP's objectives during his tenure.
PIP leads a strategic marketing programme to raise awareness of the benefits of wet leisure in domestic and commercial settings, encouraging consumers to choose pools, spas, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and wellness products. It promotes the value of working with SPATA and BISHTA members, supports media engagement, digital growth, national events, and industry partnerships. PIP also manages a magazine licence with Aqua Publishing, contributing regular features to SPN and What Pool & Hot Tub.
The committee is a collaborative body comprising members from both SPATA (Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association) and BISHTA. Its mission is to promote the wet leisure industry 'crucially' to consumers, as well as to the commercial sector and the trade. Under Arun's leadership, PIP will continue to champion the industry's visibility, quality standards, and consumer engagement.
Arun will be supported in his new role by Bernard Bell-McManus, Account Manager at ITS Europe, who has been appointed Vice Chair of the PIP Committee.
Commenting on his appointment, Arun said: "It's an honour to be elected Chair of the PIP Committee. I look forward to working with fellow members to further raise the profile of our industry and ensure that both trade professionals and consumers are well-informed and inspired by the possibilities our sector offers."
The PIP Committee has welcomed Arun and Bernard as they embark on this exciting new chapter and thanked Mark for his outstanding contributions.
