Bietigheim-Bissingen & Delmenhorst, 19th of June 2015
“The FIELDS Group of the Netherlands is taking over the business operations of Armstrong DLW GmbH as of 19 June 2015, in the course of a transferred restructuring,” announced Martin Mucha today, as Insolvency Administrator from the Stuttgart law firm Grub Brugger & Partner.
With great satisfaction, Mucha declared: “We’ve found an excellent, forward-looking solution for both the creditors and the employees, as well as the other stakeholders in the insolvency proceedings.”
The FIELDS Group, as the new investor, is firmly convinced by the “Made in Germany” strategy and will keep the two German plants in Delmenhorst and Bietigheim-Bissingen.
The strong DLW brand name will also be kept, to be integrated into the future company name of “DLW Flooring GmbH”. DLW will continue to stand for high-quality floorings, particularly linoleum, design floorings, vinyl and fibrebonded floorings, as well as innovative products such as the Naturecore range that was introduced at the beginning of the year and delifol swimming pools and ponds coatings which are manufactured in the factory of Bietigheim. This means that the continued existence and operations of this tradition-steeped flooring manufacturer are secured. The investor has great confidence in the current management team, with Charles Irving-Swift continuing as the CEO of this time-honoured company.
“The entry of the FIELDS Group has given the company an excellent partner in building a clear perspective that will let us secure a sustainable future while generating growth,” says Charles Irving-Swift, CEO of DLW Flooring GmbH.
