Aquafitness enjoys its popularity for being easy on the joints, building endurance and strengthening the musculature. Bremen’s spas welcome the trend and as follow-through have installed water exercise equipment of the Aquaback GmbH in their indoor pools.

Cornelia Maywald, head of marketing for the Bremen spas says:Aquaback exercising is variable, versatile and succeeds in building muscle tone.” Underwater exercise thus discards its “wimpy image”.

Dr. Uwe Schlünz, developer of the Aquaback underwater exercise equipment, recommends a combination of several exercise stations in order to build up different muscle areas. Accompanied by background music, the ten stations of the circular water exercise routine are visited three times in successive, alternating 60-second spells to complete the cycle.

At the end of the 45-minute sessions, participants are rewarded with relaxation and unwinding exercises. Ten individuals of both genders have so far completed training as Aquaback instructors; there are 60 of them across Germany. The Aquaback fitness studio inside water sets new standards for efficiency and range of mobility. The concept is quite unique and because of its great variety of exercise methods virtually without competition, the Bremen spas explain their reason for investing in the equipment.
