Solaxx - RetroThe Florida-based company Solaxx has launched the Saltron Retro chlorine generator which generates chlorine from salt to sanitize pool water using an electrolytic process. The system is suitable for pools of up to 20,000 US gallons (73,000 litres) and produces up to 0.4 lb (0.18kg) of salt per day, or 8g/hr.

Solaxx says the product is easy to install, with no plumbing required, and helps to keep a consistent free chlorine residual in the pool.

Among the products features are a programmable digital timer to adjust chlorine output; LED indicator lights indicating the salt level; commercial grade titanium cell plates coated with precious metals; reverse polarity keeps the cell clean and prevents scaling; a clear cell housing allows the user to easily inspect the cell for scaling; and automatic shut-down occurs in the event of a fault.
