Solaxx has launched the Saltron Mini Spa Sanitation System, which produces a pure form of chlorine by salt electrolysis in order to sanitize domestic spa water. After the salt is converted to chlorine and the bacteria are killed, the chlorine converts back to salt and this process continues. The salt concentration used is very low (less than that in a human tear).

Chlorine output is adjusted by the timer on the power supply unit. The chlorine level in the spa can be checked by using a standard chlorine test kit. The Saltron Mini is capable of sanitizing spas or swim spas up to 2000 gallons (7300 litres)

The product is independent from the spa filter and pump system, offers reverse polarity every 2-4 hours on a cell, and is said to be easy to set up with no installation or plumbing required.
