The German manufacturer SOLAR-RIPP produces and supplies a line of configurable solar absorbers in the form of corrugated tubes, designed to heat swimming pools. The company serves private customers as well as hotels, camping sites and large public establishments.

RIPPultimate®, a sustainable and climate-neutral solar heating solution for pools

Its new product, RIPPultimate®, is entirely scalable and customisable. In a few clicks, the customer can entirely adapt their solar absorber installation to all the structural situations of their environment: to create a privacy screen as a solar zone, or installed in a hotel pergola or on the flat roof of a public building, etc.

The dimensions, between 1 and 2000 square metres, are freely scalable to adapt to all possible combinations of length/width on the www.rippultimate.com website. If the surface area is larger, the hydraulic diameter of the distribution tubes and absorbers is increased.

In 95% of all cases, RIPPultimate® requires no additional external energy during its operation, because the water flows through the solar surface directly via the pool filtration pump, without a heat exchanger.

In Germany, the average energy yield during the swimming season (mid-April to mid-September) is around 300 kWh per m² of RIPPultimate® surface area. For example, with a solar absorber surface area of 745 m² for an outdoor public pool, one can expect an annual energy yield of 223 MWh! The payback period is generally just a few years, thanks to a high yield of up to 91.7% (certified thermal technology).
