PRIZMA

Israeli water quality analyser company Blue I Water Technologies has been granted a  patent by Canada on the Prizma test-strip based water analyser and controller for residential swimming pools. This completes the company’s global patenting initiative for Prizma.

One of Blue I’s flagship developments, Prizma is said to be particularly suited for use in residential and private swimming pools and spas, ensuring pool sanitation and clear water. It works by applying electro-optic capabilities to accurately analyse test pads that automatically monitor water quality at regular intervals.

A continuous indicator strip is run across a series of individual test sections, each providing analysis for a different chemical, such as chlorine and pH. According to Blue I, pool owners and pool service companies benefit from the simple-to-use, probeless (no calibration) and low-maintenance technology that helps to significantly reduce work load and unnecessary pool maintenance, as well as keeping them up to date with online reports.

“The Canadian patent is a very welcome milestone for Blue I Water Technologies in completing global patenting,” says CEO Jacob Azran. “We intend to continue developing solutions and providing our clients with the most advanced technologies in the industry, while protecting the environment by saving energy and water.”
