The Pentair R&D department is constantly working on new products to improve the IntelliPool® and to extend its operation. One of the points it has been working on was to extend the options of the system to connect more applications. Things are now changing with the 4X Extension.

Additional connection points

Until recently one could only connect the backwash to the system as an extra. With the 4X Extension, a small device that can be built into the electrical box, four extra inputs and outputs plus a connection for the solar panel are added.

Where IntelliPool®’s first concern was to maintain the optimum quality of the swimming pool water, the operation of the system is now being extended to the pool environment. With extra inputs and outputs, the user can now operate its garden lighting, its infinity pool, its waterfall or its spa via the internet or the remote control.

E-stop in case of danger

The device is also fitted with an emergency stop so that in case of danger the application or the whole system can be switched off with one press of the button.

With the arrival of the 4X Extension IntelliPool® becomes even more user-friendly and takes a further step towards full automation of the swimming pool environment and wellness experience.
