The STA (Swimming Teachers Association) is to be an exclusive partner for Spatex 2013 to help further develop standards in the wet leisure industry, the organisers of the pool and spa trade show have announced.

Commenting on the move, STA chief executive Roger Millward said:  “STA is delighted to be working in partnership with Spatex to help raise and further develop standards in the pool and spa industry.  As the UK’s largest dedicated wet leisure event, Spatex provides the ideal platform for STA to engage with the industry and share its national and international experience in swimming teaching, lifesaving, pool plant and first aid.”

He continued: “Spatex also provides the opportunity for visitors to see STA’s innovative web-based programmes first hand, which have been designed to ensure compliance across all areas of leisure and pool management, as well as speak to the Swim Academy Team about how they are helping leisure managers significantly improve participation, increase income and reduce costs with STA’s unique Academy business model.”

Spatex is also teaming up with Hot Tub Retailer magazine as a media partner for the event. Editor Nick Clamp commented: “We are delighted to be supporting Spatex 2013 and look forward to the changes and improvements to the show for next year. It is always a pleasure to be at Spatex and catch up with so many people from across the pool and spa fraternity.”
