E J Bowman, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of swimming pool heat exchangers, has announced the expansion of its titanium swimming pool heat exchanger range. For 2016, the company will now be able to offer titanium versions for every model in the range.

Titanium is the ultimate ‘fit and forget’ material for swimming pool heat exchangers, due to the fact it can be used with any type of pool water – including saline swimming pool water and salt water chlorinators. It also resists chemical attack indefinitely and eliminates the possibility of ‘galvanic reaction’ between dissimilar materials, which can lead to the premature failure of heat exchangers in certain operating conditions.

Bowman has offered titanium versions of its smaller heat exchangers for some time and the success of these products, plus the demand from customers wanting larger sized titanium units, has lead the company to develop the range further, to include the larger GL, GK, JK and PK product ranges.

A further advantage of titanium heat exchangers is the greater heat transfer efficiency they offer due to their ability to operate at higher flows than other materials, without the risk of tube erosion.
