Swedish pool equipment specialist Pahlén has launched the Auto-UV75 UV lamp, claimed to offer ‘efficient disinfection’ of both private and public pools while also reducing chlorine consumption by up to 70%.

Enclosed in a titanium body, the Auto-UV75 is designed to eliminate harmful bacteria in your pool while saving the environment.

Return water from the pool is pumped through the sand filter and is then passed through the Auto-UV75, where short-wave ultraviolet UVC radiation eliminates bacteria, viruses and algae.

The treated water then returns to the pool. The result is ‘clean and crystal clear pool water’ and a reduced need for chlorine dosing, according to the company.

The Auto-UV75 connects to the pool’s water treatment systems and is said to be easy to use.

A unique indicator located at the top of the unit lights blue when the UV lamp is in operation.
