CardiaidLeisure organisations need to be aware of the risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and the best way in which to be prepared, says Evac+Chair International.

SCA is one of the UK’s biggest killers, causing 100,000 deaths every year, and can affect anyone regardless of age, lifestyle or gender. The window to treat a person who has gone into SCA is extremely limited, with shocking the heart back into normal rhythm as quickly as possible being a crucial action for saving the life. Evac’s CardiAid (AED) (artificial external defibrillator) is designed to fulfil this function.

Director Mark Roberts comments: “Using an AED increases the chances of survival from 9% to 50% if used within those fundamental four minutes of SCA occurring. Our CardiAid AED provides comprehensive assistance to the user, guiding them with clear verbal and visible instructions throughout the whole process.”
