The new eco-Spark from Israeli company Magen is said to be a perfect solar heating solution for areas with high winds, preheating systems and ideal for low-income energy-saving projects.

It is also billed as being the ideal solution for heating public or commercial pools operating all year round in northern latitudes and colder areas. The product’s performance is claimed by Magen to be due to the design of the panel, which is encased in partitioned polymeric glazing that creates an internal ‘greenhouse effect’, thus enhancing the performance of the solar collectors.

The company says eco-Spark can withstand the effects of swimming pool chemicals, corrosion and limescale build-up, and is also stabilised against the effects of ultraviolet rays.
