Aqua-Solar has introduced a new ‘affordably priced’ control system aimed at reducing the energy losses resulting from the overflow channel on infinity pools.

Called AS Control Plus, the system consists of a Besgo 3-way valve and an AS Control Plus controller, enabling the user to determine whether the pool water flows via the overflow channel or via the main drain, depending on the ambient air temperature.

In economy mode – direct return via the main drain – the water no longer flows through the overflow channel, resulting in claimed significant reductions in energy losses due to evaporation.

The company says that at least 10,000kW can be saved over the course of a full season.

The Besgo energy-saving software programme is also available now to calculate savings, and automatic backwashing is also available.
