On the last Piscine exhibition in Lyon, MegaGroup introduced a new extension to the sand filters range with three new product lines: Mega MF polyethylene sand filters, Maitec RTM polyester sand filters and Mega FSB side mount sand filter sets.
Mega MF polyethylene sand filters
Mega MF polyethylene sand filters, are available in top mount (MFV) and side mount (MFS) versions in diameters from 425 mm till 875 mm and are especially designed for most domestic swimming pools and spas. The use of first class High Density Polyethylene (Phillips chemicals), guarantees a perfect durability and long life. All filter tanks are tested in the factory at 4 bar, working pressure is as high as 2,5 bar. A new designed clamp lock system is used for the lid (side mount version) or multi port valve (top mount versions) in order to allow a 360 degree rotation of the lid/valve and simplify installation. Also the multi port valves are newly designed with an easy-access top.
Maitec RTM polyester sand filters
The new RTM series sand filters are made of first class glass fibre reinforced polyester and especially designed for residential pools. The filter tanks are made through polyester resin injection. Using this technique, Maitec sand filters are produced with a perfect uniform wall thickness and perfect smooth internal and external surface and the technique is also better for the environment. Maitec RTM series are available in top and side mount versions, tank diameters from 520 mm till 900 mm, design flows 10 m3/h until 33 m3/h. The top mount range is supplied with a Peraqua multiport backwash valve and for the side mount filters there is the choice between Peraqua or Maitec standard backwash valves.
All tanks are factory tested at 3,75 bar, working pressure 2,5 bar. The tanks have an excellent performance, quality and a 10 year warranty.
Mega FSB side mount sand filter sets
With the new FSB sand filter systems equipped with Mega SS type pumps with pre-filter and side mount sand filters, Mega now offers a most complete and competitive range of sand filter systems. Nowadays Mega offers filter systems from the small polyethylene FSP Combo (14”, 4 m3/h) for small above ground pools till the new FSB side mount sets (26”
16m3/h) for medium in ground pools. The basis of the FBS filter system is the well known side mount Mega FS sand filter. The filter tank is made of PE-lined glass fibre reinforced polyester, which not only guarantees an excellent smooth internal surface, but also absolute water tightness. The filter tank is mounted together with the SS pump on a strong floorplate. There are three tank versions, 18” 20” and 26”equipped with resp. 0, 5, 0, 75 and 1, 0 HP Mega SS pumps. All SS pumps have a pre filter with transparent lid and large filter basket.
