National Drowning Prevention AllianceFebruary 20, 2017 - (Pittsburgh, PA) - The 16th annual National Drowning Prevention Alliance Educational Conference will take place at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh April 10 - 14.

The annual event, themed "The Next Generation of Water Safety", brings together organizations and individuals to share knowledge and ideas to prevent drowning and aquatic injuries across the United States.

With an estimated 372,000 drowning deaths each year around the world, the NDPA is committed to research, education and awareness to prevent the tragedy of drowning.

The NDPA Educational Conference is designed to offer attendees the best-of-the-best in research, technology, products, educational programming, outreach strategies, policy and code, legislation, international relations, and networking. Event sponsors include Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Slippery Rock University, West Virginia University, and Pool Safely.

Over 50 speakers have been selected to present on over 40 informative topics. Keynote & General Session speakers include:

Along with the annual conference, the NDPA is also announcing a new partnership with the Aquatic Law and Safety Institute to host the Aquatic Law and Risk Management Symposium prior to the annual event, taking place on Monday, April 10 (separate registration fee required.) The symposium will provide plaintiff and defense attorneys with information about principles and practices of aquatic law. A select group of medical doctors, scientists and attorneys will provide expert presentations. In addition, a distinguished panel of defense and plaintiff attorneys will discuss developing theories of liability.

Another first for the 2017 NDPA Conference is CVENT's sponsorship role as "Official Event Technology Partner." CVENT, a global meeting, event and travel technology leader, is providing its integrated technology platform and expertise to take the NDPA conference to the next level.
