Koelnmesse - CologneFrom 26th to 29th October 2011, Cologne will once again be the international meeting place for the swimming pool and wellness sector. That’s when aquanale 2011, the International Trade Fair for Sauna, Pool, Ambience, will be held, at which around 300 companies from about 25 countries will present their innovations, products and services.

 

 

Besides the good response from exhibitors, the optimistic mood of the sector as a whole indicates that the event will be a success. A quick survey conducted by the Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw) indicates the season got off to a more successful start than in previous years. The economic upswing and warm temperatures since the beginning of spring have intensified people’s desire to have an outdoor pool in their own backyards. The event’s supporting programme focuses on the sector’s latest trends and issues. Key themes will include the partner country Italy, the fourth Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum, the swimming ponds and natural pools theme area, the SOLARIA special show and the swimming pool construction service point.

 

aquanale will occupy a total gross exhibition space of about 36,000 m² in Halls 10.1 and 10.2 at Koelnmesse. 80 % of the surface of exhibition is already booked.

The many key suppliers at aquanale will include RivieraPool, Grando, Bayrol, Röger, Steinbach, Astralpool, Villeroy & Boch, Unbescheiden and many others.

 

 

Partner country Italy


For the first time ever, aquanale will also have a partner country, which in 2011 is Italy. On the one hand, the partner country concept aims to provide detailed knowledge of Italy’s swimming pool market, and, on the other, to attract more visitors from the country.

The offerings at aquanale will be supplemented by FSB, the International Trade Fair for Amenity Areas, Sports and Pool Facilities, which will be held in Halls 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 and 3.2 at the same time as aquanale, from 26th to 28th October 2011. A “Water Boulevard” will connect the swimming pool segments of the two trade fairs.

 

 

 

 

4th Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum


The two events will be linked by the fourth Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum, which will focus on the sector’s latest themes. With a view to ensuring safety for swimming pool operators and visitors, it will, on the one hand, take a close look at the practical implementation of the European swimming pool standard EN 15288 and the modification of DIN 19643.

In addition, forum participants will discuss state-of-the-art marketing tools for public and private pools, whereby they will also address issues related to Web 2.0. The Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum will be rounded off by the special topic of natural pools and swimming ponds.

The walk-in theme area in Hall 10.2 will also deal with swimming ponds and natural pools. The area will feature a natural pool, a swimming pond and a correspondingly designed garden.

aquanight to take place at a new location


The aquanight is traditionally the highlight of the programme of social events during aquanale. This year it will be held at a new location – the Rheinterrassen with an incomparable view of the Cathedral and the old part of town.

All of the information on aquanale is now also available in the trade fair’s own app. In addition, this app for iPhone, BlackBerry and other operating systems also includes an innovative navigation system for mobile terminals that reliably guides visitors through the halls to the respective stands. The app is offered free of charge at the aquanale website so that users can access key trade fair-related information at any time when they are in the halls or on the go. aquanale is also strengthening its presence on the Internet by launching channels on YouTube and flickr. Both of these channels contain photos and videos of aquanale and its partners.
