Propulsion systems

In 1988, when he joined his father’s company after his studies in civil engineering, Marc Lamberts noticed straight away that many of the products were not technically sound, with the result that they had to be repaired frequently, especially during the peak season; a fact that was really frustrating for pool builders. Marc saw in this a new niche: developing products that were better designed, and therefore more reliable. This approach finally led him to create the company, Propulsion Systems, in 2002 with, as mission: "The manufacture of high quality products, simple to install and use”. The company specializes in the design and manufacture of Duratech heat pumps and Spectravision pool lighting.

Quality and service are the watchwords of the Propulsion Systems’ policy.

Clients can be secure in the knowledge that they will receive an excellent product and avail of the technical support needed in case of a problem. To guarantee this service and respond quickly to any issue, each product is given its own code that allows the firm to provide the appropriate technical assistance immediately.

The engineers of the company handle, of course, those related to service (by phone or on site) with a database designed to constantly improve product quality and drastically reduce the number of interventions.

This policy has spurred the growth of the company, which now has ten employees and where half of its turnover is generated from eight countries all over the world.

Spectravision pool lighting

A state-of-the-art and innovative company such as Propulsion Systems could not but gravitate naturally towards LED lighting. The benefits resulting from the use of LEDs are many: substantial energy saving (up to 10 times less), they last much longer and enable one to create ambiances that are as numerous as they are different.  Essentially, the LEDs are available in red, yellow and blue and can also, by adjusting the intensity of the light, project mixed colours.  These various colour shades can be fine-tuned with the help of a remote control.  Another important advantage of the Spectravision projectors, when compared to their competitors, is that everything can be set up with the two-wire input cable of the lamp.  As a standard option, this cable connects the transformer to the projectors, whether they are white or colour.  All the elements for fixing the light module to an existing projector and to connect it to an existing cable are supplied in the Spectravision kit.

Even so, the price difference remains negligible thanks to the lower cost of cables with a smaller section and the transformer that is required.

Adagio+, lighting for ponds, Pools & Spas

Adagio+ is the newest enchanting subaquatic lighting concept:  it is the outcome of several years of experience in the field and present-day technology.  Whether they are white or RGB projectors, they are very easy to install.

The main characteristics of the Adagio+ are the following:
1.    The underwater lights have a sturdy frame with a lifespan that lasts 50 times longer.
2.    Low energy consumption.
3.    Available in two sizes (100mm and 170mm) for both white and colour.
4.    Connection to a 1½ aperture is fast and easy, for any model.
5.    Can easily be connected to the power outlet with a standard 2-wire 12V AC cable (idem for the RGB version).
6.    Depending on the type of pool and its decor, one can choose from 5 different models of front covers in plastic or RVS. The plastic covers come in 8 different colours, to match the colour of the walls of the pool.  In case of mosaic-lined pools, there is a selection of ultra-thin covers to obtain an impeccable finish.
7.    A very wide light beam that diffuses a beautiful, uniform light in the pool.
8.    The Adagio+, with a diameter of 170mm, can also be used when renovating a pool to replace the PAR56 incandescent bulbs with LEDs, more economical in terms of energy.  As the RGB lamp also works with a 2-wire version, the existing wiring can be used when replacing th
e incandescent bulbs.

Duratech heat pumps

A heat pump is the most efficient way of heating a swimming pool. Only part of the energy needed to heat the water comes from the electric power system.  However, all the heat pumps do not have the same level of efficiency. The performance coefficient is indicated by the COP (Coefficient of Performance) parameter.
The COP reflects the ratio between the energy (heat) produced and energy used (electricity).  Thus, a heat pump with a COP of 6 will produce 6 kWh of heat per kWh of electricity consumed.  The heat pump can be used for all types of pools, from wading pools installed in the home or garden to large public swimming pools.

The Duratech heat pumps have a reputation for being very quiet, very efficient (high COP) and very reliable with, in addition, an after-sales service that is excellent.
