SPATEX 2014The success of the 2014 Spatex show has resulted in a record number of exhibitors rebooking for next year’s event, say the organisers.

Official visitor figures had not been released as we finalised this story, but Spatex director Chris Hayes says: “I am delighted with the overall response to Spatex 2014. The Gala Dinner was very well received and the exhibitors have reported many positive reasons why Coventry was the right choice in 2014, and hence we are going back in 2015. Visitor figures were on a par with last year, but the number of visiting companies was an amazing 46% higher than in 2013.”

Chris continued: “We are overwhelmed and grateful for the show of support Spatex 2014 received, both from exhibitors and visitors alike. We are delighted to report that a record amount of stand space (55%) has already been rebooked [for 2015].”

A number of exhibitors have said how delighted they were with the 2014 show, with comments including the following.

Astral managing director Robin Norriss said: “It was a superb show for us – professionally run and a great exhibition hall.”

Cath Saunders of Certikin said: “The show was a huge success for Certikin. The new venue provided a fresh look and presented the industry in a very professional light.”

Ian Pratt of SCP commented: “We experienced our best ever number of customer visits to our stand viewing all the new products we had on display.”

Tony Fisher, director of Waterco Europe, said: “As in previous years, the show didn’t disappoint. The new venue brought both existing and new visitors and a full lead book.”

Pollet Pools managing director Peter Evans said: “It was our most successful Spatex, and we are delighted to be going back to the Ricoh next year.”

The 2015 event is scheduled for 1 to 3 February at the Jaguar Exhibition Hall, Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
