The owners of the new premium Hotel "Las Playitas" in Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, decided to have solar heating installed by Solar-Ripp to keep the 2 000 m3 of water in their Olympic training pool at a constant 25 to 26 C°. The annual sun radiation figure for this all-year sunshine island is 2MWh per m², offering optimal conditions for all-year use of free solar energy. The requisite know-how and the tailor-made 5,000 square feet of solar panels were supplied by the German manufacturer, Solar-Ripp®, while local management was taken care of by Solartec Canarias S.L. The Spanish operators of Grand Resort are now totally relaxed about any future energy price hikes. For further information, meet them at the following trade fair: PISCINE 2008 - 18-21 Nov. - France - Eurexpo Lyon, Hall 08 - Stand 8C41
